Cuban Ambassador greets the President of Cyprus on the occasion of the National Holiday

On October 1, 2024, Cuban Ambassador Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero greeted His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, on the occasion of the reception offered to the diplomatic corps for the National Day. During the brief meeting, the Ambassador conveyed to the Cypriot President the congratulations of the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, together with the wishes to continue strengthening bilateral relations between the two islands.

President Christopoulides was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Constantinos Kombos. To whom the Cuban Ambassador also conveyed the congratulations of the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla on the 64th Anniversary of the Independence of Cyprus.

The Cuban Ambassador also extended his congratulations to the Cypriot people on the 64th anniversary of their independence, highlighting the ties of friendship and cooperation that have characterised the relations between Cuba and Cyprus for more than six decades. This celebration comes at a significant moment for bilateral relations, as both countries prepare to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
