Gaborone, February 11 2026 - At midday today, the Cuban Ambassador to Botswana Antonio Luis Pubillones Izaguirre paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, Batiraishe Henry Moklnoweshuro. They had a fraternal exchange on a series of topics related to the present international geopolitics and latest developments in their countries. They conveyed best wishes for success and wellbeing to each other during their tenure of office in Gaborone.
Ambassador Pubillones expressed his appreciation for the support of Zimbabwe to the fight of the Cuban people against the unjust and tightened economic, comercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States succesive governments during more than 60 years. Batiraishe Henry assured his Cuban counterpart that the people of Cuba could always count on his country's support.
