Nicosia, January 16, 2023 - On January 16, 2023, the Rector of the University of Cyprus, Tasos Christofides received the Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus in his office, on the premises of the University.
During the fruitful meeting, they discussed future possibilities of cooperation to promote synergies between the University of Cyprus and Cuban universities in various areas, such as medicine, languages, political science, etc. through exchanges of students, researchers from the two countries, joint programs and the signing of a Memorandum in the university field of both countries.
They also exchanged on the possibility of carrying out cultural activities at the University to promote Cuban and Latin American culture, together with other Embassies of the region accredited in Cyprus.
The Rector was accompanied in the meeting by Mrs. Stella-Maria Vassiliou, Coordinator of the Sector of International Recruitment and Promotion and of the International Relations Service of the University (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
