Cuban Ambassador meets with the Ambassador of Palestine and the Ambassador of Brazil in Cyprus.

On the morning of 28 February, the Cuban Ambassador participated in a meeting with the Ambassador of Brazil, Mr. Eduardo Augusto Ibiapina de Seixas and the Ambassador of Palestine, Mr. Abdali Attari at the Brazilian Embassy in Nicosia.

The Ambassador of Palestine thanked the statements of principle of the President of Brazil, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva on the genocide taking place in the Gaza Strip and also the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel for the continuous denunciation of the situation of the Palestinians.

The diplomats converged on the need for a solution to the conflict based on the recognition of two states with full rights.

The Cuban Ambassador stated that the situation in which we find ourselves today is the result of

consequence of 75 years of permanent violation of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and of Israel's aggressive and expansionist policy and that Cuba has demanded a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the creation of two states, which would allow the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign state within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as has been proclaimed by the Cuban Foreign Ministry's declarations.

The diplomats called for a ceasefire and an end to Israel's impunity.
