Pretoria, December 28, 2020- On the occasion of his working visit to the Kingdom of Eswatini, Cuban Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson held an extensive exchange in the town of Manzini with members of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade deployed in that African nation since last month of August.
The members of the Brigade related their experiences in supporting Eswatini's national efforts to face the COVID19 pandemic and in caring for other diseases
The work of Cuban health professionals is having an important social impact in that sister country, with a high level of recognition by the government and the population.
Although the Henry Reeve Brigade traveled to Eswatini to fulfill its mission for 3 months, the Kingdom authorities have requested that the presence of the Cuban doctors be extended for an additional 6 months.
In addition to the 10 members of the Henry Reeve Brigade, 28 other Cuban doctors are currently deployed in Eswatini who are part of the regular Medical Brigade in that country, which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year 2020.
