Cuban Ambassador meets with members of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia

Canberra, 25 July, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba held a meeting with members of the Academy of Social Sciences of Australia. Chris Hatherly, Head of the Executive Office and Michelle Bruce, in charge of scholarship programs and international awards, participated on the Australian side. During the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Cuba and the Australian institution were exchanged. 

The Australian Academy of Social Sciences was established in 1971 to recognize and advocate excellence in the social sciences and to provide evidence-based advice on a range of social policy issues. The Academy is elective and comprises more than 700 distinguished Australian social science researchers and practitioners who work together to provide advice to governments on issues of national importance; promote understanding and knowledge of the social sciences; and coordinate international cooperation and collaboration in the social sciences.
