Canberra, 15 January 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez, met with Mrs.Diana Nelson, the new director of Latin America of the Australian Foreign Ministry at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in this capital.
During the meeting, both officials were able to exchange views on the state of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially as this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of these relations.
The occasion was propitious to outline new goals for joint work and establish actions aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.
Mr. Drew Dainer, an official of the Australian Foreign Ministry, was present at the meeting on the Australian side, while the third secretary of the Embassy, Ms. Ivianes Gonzalez, accompanied the ambassador on the Cuban side.
