In a significant step towards bolstering bilateral relations, His Excellency Miguel Fraga, Ambassador of Cuba, met today with the Honorable Gretta Roberts, Minister for Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development of Dominica. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas such as culture and sports, reflecting the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations.
This year marks the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Dominica and Cuba, a milestone that celebrates nearly three decades of collaboration, mutual respect, and shared progress. Over the years, the two nations have cooperated in various fields, including healthcare, education, and disaster management, strengthening their bond and contributing to the well-being and development of their peoples.
The meeting concluded with both parties expressing optimism about the future of Dominica-Cuba relations.
After the meeting, Ambassador Miguel Fraga stated, “Cuba values its relationship with Dominica deeply. Our discussions today pave the way for meaningful cooperation that will not only strengthen our bilateral ties but also bring tangible benefits to the people of both nations.”
