Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia attended commemorative activities for the centennial aniversary of the first Constitution and the Proclamation of the Republic of this country

The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, attended the special session of Parliament to commemorate the centennial aniversary of the first Constitution and the Proclamation of the People's Republic of Mongolia in 1924.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the State Great Khural, Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve; the President, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the Prime Minister, Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, the Parliamentarians and  Ambasadors, among others.

In his opening remarks, the Speaker of Parliament reflected on the significance of the 1924 Constitution that declared Mongolia a Republic and formally transferred power to its people, marking the end of the monarchy.

President Khurelsukh recalled the historical context of the adoption of the first Mongolian constitution and how it established the sovereignty and independence of the country and laid the foundations for the modern Mongolian state.

Later, the Cuban Ambassador attended the opening of the visual arts exhibition "INDEPENDENCE" at the Mongolian Artists' Union (UMA), in honor of the 100th anniversary of the first Constitution of Mongolia. The exhibition reflects the context of that time and Mongolian traditions and customs.
