The Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia attended as a guest an excellent concert by the Bayanmongol Jazz great band of the State Philharmonic

Ambassador of Cuba, Jorge Ferrer, in Mongolia attended as guest an excellent concert by the Bayanmongol Jazz great band of the National State Philharmonic in tribute to the Jazz figures Count Basie and Louis Armstrong.

The band was accompanied by Naagii, Jojo and Tenuun, three great Mongolian voices. Several of the musicians showed individually their virtuosity on different instruments, drawing applause from the audience.

Bayanmongol, founded in 1967, more than 50 years ago, has a historical relationship with Cuba dating back several decades that both parties are interested in reactivating.

Great Cuban musicians such as Eddy Gaytán, Ramón Calzadilla and Rey Montesinos shared successfully the stage with Bayanmongol some decades ago.

In the future we lookforward to have the opportunity to introduce to the Cuban and international public one of the most important Mongolian Jazz bands, at the Jazz Plaza or Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz & Son international festivals.
