Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia holds a meeting with musicians from the outstanding Bayanmongol Jazz group of the State Philharmonic

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with some musicians from the prominent jazz group, Bayanmongol to discuss the possibilities of cultural exchanges in music.

Bayanmongol, founded in 1967, is a jazz group that is part of the Mongolian State Philharmonic, along with the Symphony Orchestra and the outstanding Morin Kuur Ensemble  of string typical Instruments.

Mr. Darkhanbayar Ganbat, senior musician of the Bayanmongol group (trombonist) and Mr. Myagmar-Erdene, trombonist attended.

Cuban musicians of the stature of the Argentine-Cuban Eddy Gaytán, Ramón Calzadilla and Rey Montesinos performed together with Bayanmongol several years ago.

The Ambassador also spoke about the international festivals Jazz Plaza and Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz & Son that take place in Cuba and invited them to participate in one of these events.
