The Cuban ambassador in Ulan Bator, Mr. Jorge Ferrer, met yesterday with the Deputy Director General of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of the Foreign Ministry, Mr. P. Baasankhuu, to exchange points of view on issues of mutual interest in international organizations.
The Cuban diplomat reported on the priorities of the Cuban Presidency of the Group of 77 plus, including international and South-South cooperation and the most important activities planned this year.
He also reiterated Cuba's deep gratitude for Mongolia's traditional position of supporting the island the UN and other international forums against the economic, commercial and financial blockade by the United States.
For his part, the Deputy Director General for Multilateral Cooperation wished Cuba success as President of the G77 plus China and reiterated his country's position against the blockade, shared by the overwhelming majority of the international community.
Both parties expressed satisfaction with mutual cooperation in multilateral organizations.
