Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia meets President of the Mongolia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met recently with His Excellency Mr. Bat-Erdene Badmaanyambuu, president of the Mongolia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, Minister and President of the National Committee for the Olympic Movement, Physical Activities and Sports.

At the meeting, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, they discussed the activities of both Parliaments and bilateral interparliamentary relations, as well as relations in sports matters.

Both sides agreed that their countries share long-standing historical relations of friendship and cooperation in several areas.

They also expressed the common will to carry out concrete actions to strengthen sports relations and between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the respective Parliaments.

Bat-Erdene, holds the title of Hero of Mongolia; He has been elected as a Member of the State Great Hural five times and heads the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba for five terms.

He was twelve times champion of Mongolian National Wrestling, four times world champion of Sambo Wrestling, world champion of Amateur Sumo Wrestling and Asian champion in that same specialty.
