The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Mr. Jorge Ferrer Rodríguez, met with the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia and Member of Parliament, His Excellency. Mr. Enkhbayar Battumur, before his departure for Cuba.
The director of the Department of International Treaties and Foreign Cooperation of that Ministry, Mrs. Narantuya Choijantsan, and another official were also present.
The Mongolian Minister arrives in Cuba today, March 18, for the signing of two Reciprocal Legal Assistance Agreements in Civil and Commercial Matters and in Criminal Matters, to meet with law and order authorities and visit places of interest.
These agreements will give more legal security to citizens in the face of the increase in the presence of Mongolian travelers and students on scholarships in Cuba, as well as to entrepreneurs and businesses from both countries.
The Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs expressed interest in developing relations and cooperation between the authorities of the two countries within the framework of the implementation of these agreements.
The Cuban diplomat reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue developing and deepening bilateral cooperation in several areas of common interest for the benefit of both peoples.
The meeting took place in the traditional atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation that characterizes relations between both countries.
