The Cuban ambassador in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Bat-Erdene Bat-Ulzii. The Acting Head of the Department of Tourism Policy and Regulation, T.Munkh-Od, Senior Analyst, E.Enkhmaa, and Senior Specialist of the Department of Foreign Cooperation of the Ministry, B.Battsetseg, were also present.
The Ambassador delivered to the Minister the invitation for the Meeting of Tourism Ministers of the Group of 77 plus China to be held on May 5, within the framework of the 41st International Tourism Fair (FITCuba) that will take place in Havana from May 1 to 5. May, dedicated to Culture and Heritage.
He also transmitted the invitation for the Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities of the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation of the G77 and China that will be held, within the framework of the XIV Convention on Environment and Development, to be held in Cuba, from the 3rd to the 7th of next July.
Both parties discussed the importance of these international events and the priority in the development of tourism in both countries, taking into account that the Mongolian government declared the years 2023 to 2025 as the Years of Visiting Mongolia.
They also exchanged on the possibilities of collaboration in the context of their respective tourism campaigns “Cuba Única” and “Welcome to Mongolia”.
