Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

The Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency. Mrs. B. Battsetseg, at the  headquarters of the  Ministry in a fraternal and friendly atmosphere.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions on the development and expansion of traditional friendly relations between both countries. The Minister, B.Battsetseg, announced that the Government of Mongolia will provide humanitarian aid to the Cuban people due to economic difficulties caused by natural disasters.

The Cuban Ambassador deeply thanked the President, the Government and the people of Mongolia, on behalf of the Government and the people of Cuba, for this important gesture of solidarity and friendship  of assisting the Cuban people.

The Cuban diplomat recognized Mongolia's support for the Cuban Presidency of the Group of 77 plus China, especially the visit of the President to Cuba to attend the Summit of the Group of 77 and China on science, technology and innovation and his important contribution to that event.

He also reiterated Cuba's gratitude for Mongolia's traditional valuable support in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution on the US economic blockade, adopted by overwhelming majority on November 2.

The parties also talked on Cuba's decision to increase university scholarships for Mongolian students, taking into account the traditional relations of friendship and mutual cooperation and the initiative of the Cuban Presidency of the G77+China to promote South-South cooperation, which which was highly appreciated by the Mongolian Minister.
