The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met yesterday with the H.E. Mrs SOLONGOO Bayarsaikhan, Deputy Minister of Justice and Home Affairs. The director of the Department of International Treaties and Foreign Cooperation of the Ministry, Mr. Bilguun Burentegsh, was also present.
Both parties discussed the progress of the negotiation of various Agreements on mutual legal assistance and bilateral legal cooperation, some of which are in the final stage.
The Vice Minister reiterated the interest in developing relations and cooperation between the legal authorities of the two countries in the implementation of these agreements and in other areas of interest.
For his part, the Cuban ambassador informed on the XV International Meeting on Criminal Sciences 2023, which will take place in Havana, from March 15 to 17. He also referred to the Family Code and the legislative agenda for the implementation of the new Constitution, approved in a referendum in 2019.
The Cuban diplomat also reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue developing bilateral cooperation in various areas of common interest.
The meeting took place in the traditional atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation that characterizes relations between the two countries.
