The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Mr. Jorge Ferrer Rodríguez, paid a courtesy visit to the H.E. Mr. Kh.Nyambaatar, Minister of Justice and Interior Affairs, who was accompanied by the director of the Department of International Treaties and Foreign Cooperation, Mrs. Bat-ULZII Tumurbaatar, and other officials.
Both parties exchanged information on their national citizens residing in the two countries and highlighted the progress of the work for the signing of various reciprocal legal assistance and bilateral legal cooperation agreements. The meeting took place in the traditional atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation that characterizes relations between the two countries.
The Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs expressed interest in developing relations and cooperation between the authorities of the two countries in the framework of the implementation of these agreements.
On his part, the Cuban ambassador shared information on the popular consultation of the Family Code and the Cuban legislative agenda for the implementation of the new Constitution of the Republic, approved in a popular referendum in 2019.
The Cuban diplomat also reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue developing and deepening bilateral cooperation in various areas of common interest for the benefit of both peoples.
