Cuban Ambassador participates in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Ulaanbaatar.

Ulaanbaatar, October 2, 2018. - The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia participated this morning in the ceremony of commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi organized by the Embassy of India in Ulaanbaatar. With a floral tribute ceremony at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located on the avenue that bears his name in the city of Ulaanbaatar, those present paid tribute to this Indian thinker and politician. October 2 was declared by the United Nations as the International Day of Nonviolence, anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, in homage to this leader of the Indian Independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy of nonviolence.
