Cuban Ambassador participates in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the incorporation of Cypriot anti-fascist fighters of the Second World War.
The Lanitio Theatre in Limasol hosted on the evening of 15 June the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the incorporation of Cypriot anti-fascist fighters from the Second World War.
In the central speech of the event, AKEL Secretary General Stefanous Stefanou emphasised that since its inception the Party has been anti-fascist, anti-Hliterian and progressive. He recognised the veterans and their families present at the event, while calling on all those present to continue to work together to never again let modern fascism pass.
The Secretary General then awarded the veterans and their families with a plaque commemorating the 80th anniversary of such a glorious gesture by Cypriots.
At the end of the gala the Cuban Ambassador saluted the veterans and their families and exchanged with deputies, party members and young people of EDON (EmbaCuba Cyprus).
