Cuban Ambassador participates in exchange with Australian Ambassador for First Nation People's Affairs Justin Mohamed

Canberra, June 23, 2023. At the headquarters of the Australian Foreign Ministry, a meeting was held between Ambassador Justin Mohamed, appointed to deal with issues related to Australia's native peoples, and the ambassadors representing Latin American countries in Australia. The meeting served to exchange experiences on the progress made by Latin American countries regarding the participation of native peoples in the political and social sphere, as well as to plan future areas of cooperation and cultural exchange. 
The Cuban Ambassador to this southern nation referred to Cuba's history of cooperation with Australian native peoples, in particular the use of the "Yo si puedo" method and the assistance of Cuban teachers in these populations, with great success so far. 
Officials from the Latin America and European Union Division of the Australian Foreign Ministry also participated in the meeting.
