Johannesburg, October 19, 2023 - Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, participated in the inauguration of the National Conference of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL). The event was also attended by the South African Minister of Justice, Ronald Lamola.
In his speech, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the historical position of support for the Cuban cause of this organization and its members. At the same time, he highlighted the effects weighing on the Cuban people as a result of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States and the unilateral sanctions, including the presence of Cuba on the Sponsors of Terrorism List.
The ambassador dedicated part of his speech to express Cuba's position on the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, whom, he said, "will always be able to count on the solidarity of the Cuban people".
