Kingstown, December 12, 2019 - This morning, José Manuel Leyva Ventura presented the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the Governor General of that country, Her Excellency Mrs. Susan Dogan, in a solemn ceremony held this Thursday in the Government House.
The Ambassador conveyed to the Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines the greetings of the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and expressed his willingness to continue working to strengthen relations between our countries.
During the ceremony, both authorities highlighted the ties of friendship between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, whose diplomatic relations have developed uninterruptedly for more than 27 years.
They highlighted the excellent bilateral ties existing in different sectors, particularly in the areas of health and construction, as well as the interest in continuing to advance in the others economic-commercial sectors.
The Ambassador thanked Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for its support of the Cuban people's demand to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States maintains against Cuba and emphasized the high political harmony of both nations, in defense of just causes in our region.
