Cuban Ambassador received by Deputy Speaker of the Australian Parliament. 

Canberra, 18 September 2025. On the occasion of the end of her mission, the Cuban Ambassador to Australia was received by the Deputy Speaker of the Australian Federal Parliament, Sharon Clydon, who also serves as co-chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba.  

During the warm meeting, the Cuban diplomat expressed her gratitude for Sharon's solidarity, affection and support during her mission here in Australia, as well as her firm stance against the blockade of Cuba. 
For her part, the parliamentarian thanked the Cuban diplomat for her work in strengthening and deepening bilateral relations between Cuba and Australia, in particular her efforts to celebrate the 35th anniversary of anniversary of these relations in 2024.
