Cape Town, 21 May 2026. — Cuban Ambassador, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, was received by the Honorable Thoko Didiza, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, at a meeting held at the National Parliament.
The meeting addressed the historic relations between Cuba and South Africa and cooperation between both parliaments. Speaker Didiza conveyed that South Africa would remain in solidarity with Cuba, reaffirming the parliamentary commitment to support and the intention to strengthen channels of legislative and political collaboration between the two countries.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Hon. Thoko Didiza and the South African Parliament for the warm welcome and for the willingness expressed to stand by Cuba in international forums and in bilateral legislative work.
