Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. March 7, 2019. The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Raúl Delgado Concepción, received today Mr. Batsaikhan Dayviinyam, Governor of the northwestern Mongolian province of Uvs. Elected on July 15, 2016 as Governor of this province, Mr. Dayviinyam serves as the highest figure of the Mongolian State and Government in that territory that has a population of 82,604 inhabitants in an area of 69,585.39 km2 which makes the Population density per 1.2 inhabitant per km2.
During the cordial meeting the Governor explained the main characteristics of the socio-economic life of the population and commented on the impressive natural landscapes that make up that province which borders Russia to the north on a border of 640 km, to the east with the province of Zavkhan , to the south with the province of Hovs and to the west with the province of Bayan-Ölgii. He also proudly point out the importance of this province in the life of the nation as numerous and well-known political figures were born in this province, including former President Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal.
The Governor thanked the reception given by the Cuban diplomatic mission and invited the Ambassador to visit the province at the most convenient time. (EmbaCuba Mongolia)
