Victoria, February 25._ By invitation of the Japanese Ambassador to Seychelles, Mr. Okaniwa Ken, Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernandez Caneiro, attended the celebration of the birthday of Emperor Naruhito of Japan.
This is a national holiday in Japan celebrated every February 23th for the reigning Emperor, an occasion to wish him, his family and all Japanese a happy, healthy and prosperous life.
Cuba and Japan have developed a relationship of mutual respect, characterized by important political, economic and commercial exchanges.
On behalf of Cuba we convey greetings and best wishes to the Emperor and the people of Japan.
The celebration was attended by President Wavel Ramkalawa, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism Sylvestre Radegonde, as well members of the government, the diplomatic corps and representatives of Japan in Seychelles.
