Cuban Ambassador to South Africa concludes visit to Limpopo

April 22, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, concluded the visit to the province of Limpopo, where he completed an extensive program of activities. This program included meetings with officials and the leadership of the provincial government, as well as the main political forces.

The Ambassador held a fruitful exchange with the Premier and with the members of the Provincial Executive Committee, as well as with the representatives of the tripartite alliance in the territory.

As part of the program, the Ambassador held a productive meeting with the senior traditional leader, Thovhele Midiyavhathu Tshivhase, with whom he discussed the economic and commercial relations between both countries. In addition, he paid a visit to the University of Venda where he shared with its vice-chancellor, Dr. Bernard Nthambeleni, and with the university community.

The Ambassador also met with members of the Friends of Cuba Society (FOCUS) in the province, who expressed their unconditional support and solidarity with the island.
