Cuban Ambassador to South Africa participates in Africa Day activities

Pretoria, May 25, 2023 - The Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, participated in the activities held in South Africa, in the Cradle of Humankind, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Africa Day.

The President of the Republic of South Africa and of the ANC, Cyril Ramaphosa, as well as the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa and other government authorities were present.

In his speech, Minister Zizi Kodwa highlighted the 35th anniversary of the victory in the battle of Cuito Cuanavale as one of the relevant events to be celebrated this year, as well as Cuba's decisive participation in the struggles for the liberation of southern Africa.
