Kimberly, February 29, 2024 - The Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta Gonzalez, participated in the opening of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature, where the Premier Dr. Zamani Saul, delivered a speech on the current state of the local government's management in recent years.
There, the Ambassador had the opportunity to exchange with important political figures of the provincial government, in order to strengthen the historic ties of friendship, which are approaching their thirtieth anniversary.
During the brief visit, the Ambassador paid tribute to the endearing friend of Cuba, Chris Mathlako, who was for decades the Secretary General of the Cuba Friendship Association, FOCUS and head of International Relations of the South African Communist Party.
