Cuban Ambassador to the UK meets with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain.

London, 22 April 2024- This month the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, held a cordial meeting with the General Secretary of the  Communist Party of Britain (CPB), Robert Griffiths.

Vargas Walter expressed her deepest thanks to Griffiths for the traditional solidarity given by the CPB and its youth organisation, the Young Communist League, to the Cuban people, against the blockade imposed by the US government for more than 60 years and in defence of Cuba's sovereignty and self-determination.

The CPB General Secretary ratified the commitment to continue supporting solidarity with the Caribbean island in the UK, while recalling his visit to Havana in November 2022.
