The Cuban Ambassador in Seychelles, Martha Hernández Caneiro, was received at the headquarters of the National Assembly by the Leader of the Government Party in Parliament LDS, Honorable Bernard Georges and by the Chairman of the International Affairs Committee, Honorable Waven William.
Both meetings highlighted the historic ties of friendship that have characterized relations between Cuba and Seychelles since April 12, 1978, when diplomatic relations between the two governments were established.
For her part, the Cuban diplomat reaffirmed her government's will to continue developing the political-diplomatic dialogue and the relations of friendship and cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
In April 2022, the Seychelles-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Groups were established in both Parliaments, with the aim of promoting inter-parliamentary cooperation, contacts and exchanges.
