Cuban and Mexican embassies to host cultural musical presentations

A joint collaboration between the Mexican and Cuban Embassies to Belize will result in a cultural musical presentation showcase at the Institute of Mexico in Belize City on June 6th.

The event is expected to commence at 7:00 p.m., and will gorm part of the 2017 International Jazz Festival.

Two musical groups: “Morena Son”, from Santiago de Cuba and “Casa Wagner” from Tijuana Mexico will entertain the audience.

The two different presentations of Latin Jazz are samples of Cuba and Mexico.  One has a strong influence of Caribbean rhythms, featuring six talented Cuban artists, and the other is a vanguard proposal of three young musicians from Tijuana Mexico.

The two embassies extend their invitation to the public to come out to experience this cultural exchange.

The initiative is also in collaboration with Belize’s National Institute of Culture and History (NICH).
