Cuban and U.S. authorities hold third round of law application and enforcement dialogue in Washington.

On September 15th, 2017 the third meeting between authorities of law application and enforcement bodies of Cuba and the U.S. was held in the United States Capital.
 
This was a follow-up meeting of that held on May 17th, 2016 in Havana. The purpose of these exchanges is to coordinate bilateral cooperation on law application and enforcement and advance in tackling different scourges that might pose a threat to both countries such as: terrorism, the illicit trafficking in drugs and persons, cybercrime, among others.
 
The meeting took place in a professional and respectful climate.
 
The Cuban delegation was made up of representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office, General Customs Office of Cuba. The US party was made up of by representatives of the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and the Department of State.
