Cuban bartender wins international tournament in Athens.

Kenia Borges Brotón, bartender at the Breeza bar of the Meliá Internacional Hotel in Varadero, won the top prize in the first international cocktail competition for women, which has just been held in Athens.

With her Perla del Norte cocktail, the young woman from Cardenas beat representatives from 15 other countries in the national category of the contest organized in the Greek capital under the name of Barlady, and was accompanied by the president of the Cuban Bartenders Association, Eddis Naranjo Carrillo.

Despite her youth, Kenia Borges Broton has already accumulated a remarkable career in the creation and preparation of cocktails, backed by awards in competitions such as the National Championship "Fabio Delgado in Memorian" and the Challenger Torres Brandy.

Her success in Athens ratifies the professionalism of Cuban bartenders, recognized worldwide, and confirms how Cuban women are also positioning themselves in the art of serving behind the bar.
