Kingstown, September 6, 2024 - The Cuban dance academy "Santelices Studio" was officially inaugurated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with the attendance of members of the Cuban community, authorities from the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development and Culture and members of the Cuban and Venezuelan embassies.
According to its founder, the young Cuban resident in St. Vincent, Ernesto Santelices, the academy will operate under the slogan "from dreamers to dancers" and all kinds of styles will be taught, from classical ballet to Cuban, Caribbean and international rhythms.
Cuban ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, mentioned that the academy will be a space to continue creating and strengthening cultural bridges between both peoples and to reaffirm the best musical and dance values of Cuba in this brother country. He added that great projects start with small steps, while inviting the Vincentian society to participate in this new cultural adventure.
The project contributes to deepening cultural ties between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, which is part of both countries' long-standing diplomatic relations and mutual interest in continuing to promote cooperation in all possible areas.
