Dublin, September, 2018. The Cuban delegation in a working visit to Ireland, made up of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, as well as the National Office of Statistics and Information, was received by Executives of the General Division of Commerce and of the Americas in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
During the exchange of experiences, the similarities in the foreign trade structure of both Ireland and Cuba were noted once again, with a special highlight in the export of services. Cuban and Irish officials shared experiences about the common efforts that are deployed through various agencies to achieve a better interconnection between companies, and a greater use of their potentials in terms of the diversification and growth of exportable resources. The additional complexities to statistically capture the contributions to the national economy of services exports were another topic in which both parties shared experiences.
On the Cuban side, the meeting was chaired by Yamila Fernandez del Busto, general director of Economy of the MINCEX and accompanied by Ambassador Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes.
