The members of the Commission on International Relations of the National People’s Power Assembly of the Republic of Cuba strongly condemn the aggression by the governments of the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates the United Nations Charter, International Law and the sovereignty of States.
We regret the loss of human lives as a result of the attacks perpetrated since February 28, which have caused around one thousand dead and wounded. We convey our sincere condolences to the people of Iran over the murder of the Supreme Leader of the Persian nation, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and other high officers of the armed forces, as well as to the relatives of the one hundred girls who used to attend an elementary school in the city of Minah.
The deliberate onslaught carried out while diplomatic efforts were taking place to reach an agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the nuclear question shows, once again, that the United States and Israel are the main threat to world’s peace and that their war philosophy seeks to impose hegemonic interests and take control over the natural resources of nations.
We call upon all parliamentarians of the world and the good-willed people of the international community to demand respect for the independence and territorial integrity of States; to work urgently in favor of peace and call for a highest resolve and more responsible action by international organizations.
Let’s Say No to War!
Long Live Peace and Progress for All Peoples of the World!
