(Doha, November 12, 2025) – His Excellency Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, received at the Ministry’s headquarters the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Mr. Elio Rodríguez Perdomo, who was part of the Cuban delegation that participated in the Second World Summit on Social Development held in the Arab country.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite Cuba and Qatar, based on the ties established between the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and His Highness the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The occasion served to agree on actions aimed at further promoting the development of bilateral relations in various fields and to coordinate positions on issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.
The meeting took place just weeks before the 36th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
