Cuban Deputy President attends inauguration of Cyril Ramaphosa

Pretoria, 19 June 2024 – This Wednesday, Cuban Deputy President Salvador Valdés Mesa attended the inauguration of the recently re-elected South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the Union Buildings, the government headquarters of the African nation, in the presence of South Africans from different sectors and backgrounds, as well as dignitaries and representatives of governments from various countries.

Valdés Mesa, who is on a visit to the country, greeted Ramaphosa and conveyed his best wishes for this administration.

Cuba and South Africa are united by historical and fraternal ties, forged by the friendship that united the leaders of the two countries, Fidel Castro and Nelson Mandela.
