United States, April 7, 2017.- On April 3 thru 5, First Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba to the United States, Miguel Fraga, paid a working visit to Harrisburg, the capital city of the State of Pennsylvania, on an invitation made by the State’s lawgivers.
During his stay there, the Cuban diplomat was received in the State’s Capitol by the Pennsylvania Secretary of State, Pedro Cortés, and the Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture, Russell Redding, with whom he had a cordial meeting. While in the Capitol building, he was also received in the plenary of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where its Speaker Mike Tuzai pronounced the welcoming remarks to the visitor on behalf of his colleagues. Mr. Fraga also met with Republican and Democrat lawgivers of the House and Senate.
Furthermore, Miguel Fraga made a presentation on the Cuba-US bilateral relations in Penn State Harrisburg, which was attended by over 100 people. The Cuban representative was welcomed by the Chancellor of that prestigious institution Dr. Mukund S. Kulkarni, who introduced him to the auditorium.
While in Harrisburg, the Cuban diplomat thanked the expressions of support by the authorities to the new momentum in the Cuba-US bilateral relations and reaffirmed that the respectful ties between Cuba and the United States are the path to take for the benefit of both peoples.
