Cuban diplomats exchanged with members of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia

Members and directors of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia rejected the policy of pressure exerted by the U.S. government on the island, during a meeting with diplomats from the Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C.
Those present received from the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba, Lianys Torres Rivera, an update on the state of bilateral relations between Cuba and the United States, as well as the damage caused by the blockade imposed for more than six decades on the Cuban people.
The exchange, framed within the framework of a visit by the diplomats to the city of Philadelphia, reaffirmed the intention of the majority of Americans to establish relations between both countries based on equality and mutual respect.
The Philadelphia World Affairs Council appreciated the visit of this delegation and described as incredible the opportunity to discuss during the "DiploChat" the history, present and opportunities for exchange between the two nations.
The Philadelphia World Affairs Council is a private, non-profit, non-partisan educational organization that promotes public diplomacy.
