Pretoria, 4 May 2026. — The Cuban Ambassador, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, today chaired a productive quarterly meeting with the Latin America Division of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) as part of the ongoing bilateral dialogue between the two countries.
The meeting, held in the spirit of the strong friendship that unites Cuba and South Africa, provided an opportunity to assess the state of bilateral relations and discuss new cooperation initiatives.
These quarterly meetings between the Cuban Embassy and DIRCO constitute an established institutional mechanism to maintain a constant flow of communication and coordination between the two foreign ministries, ensuring the continuity and strengthening of bilateral relations.
