On September 23, officials from the Cuban Embassy in the US attended the screening of the Documentary "Jardines de la Reina", an event that was hosted by its director and narrator, the renowned Cuban actor Jorge Perrugorría.
The documentary focuses on the environmental conservation work of scientists and authorities in this national park, which is home to one of the best preserved marine ecosystems in the world. After the presentation of the film, which took place at the School of Communication of the American University in Washington D.C. a panel was developed in which academics, environmentalists and other personalities related to the project's execution shared their experiences.
The meeting emphasized on the wide possibilities that exist for collaboration between Cuba and the United States in environmental issues, within the framework of current agreements and for the benefit of both countries.
