Cuban Embassy honours legacy of October Revolution in commemorative ceremony

November 9: The Cuban Embassy in the United Kingdom joined in commemorating the 108th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, a historic event that profoundly marked the course of peoples in their struggle for social justice, equality, and emancipation.

During the ceremony, Cuban Ambassador Ismara Vargas Walter highlighted the enduring principles of solidarity and sovereignty that link the Russian revolutionary epic with the Cuban people's own anti-imperialist struggle, from the Apostle José Martí to the historic leader Fidel Castro.

In her speech, the diplomat stressed that the legacy of the October Revolution continues to inspire those who defend the independence, dignity, and right of nations to decide their own destiny.

The Cuban Embassy expressed its gratitude to the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) for its constant solidarity and support for the Cuban people, and for keeping alive the friendship that unites both peoples in the defense of common ideals.
