Cuban Embassy officials in the United States visit Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Representatives of the Embassy of Cuba carried out a working visit to the cities of Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, California, where they held a series of meetings with representatives from various sectors of society.

These exchanges provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and cooperation, while further strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Cuba and the United States. The discussions also addressed the impact of the United States' unilateral coercive measures, which remain the principal obstacle to Cuba's economic and social development and to the normalization of relations between the two countries.

For many years, California has played an important role in promoting cultural, economic, academic, and scientific ties with Cuba. Numerous solidarity organizations, friendship groups, labor unions, and community organizations have consistently advocated for an end to the blockade and for Cuba's removal from the U.S. List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
