Pretoria, October 31, 2023.- The Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Enrique Orta González, was received by the Chief Director for the Americas of the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Ambassador Bonna and the Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, Ms. Lulama Rulumeni, in order to carry out a periodic review of the main issues of bilateral interest.
During the cordial meeting, the excellent level of political relations was noted, as well as the need to continue expanding and diversifying cooperation in economic and trade matters.
The recent visit to South Africa of a trade delegation, composed of several Cuban organisations and institutions, was highlighted. This visit was a success face to the necessary strengthening of trade relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the economic-commercial counsellor of the Embassy, Aldo J. Valdés and the Third Secretary in charge of political affairs, Bryan Betancourt.
