Pretoria, November 25, 2024 - Eight years after the physical departure of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, together with members of the Cooperation Brigades, paid a heartfelt tribute to his life and work, without which the Cuban Revolution would not be what it is today.
The Commander took the spirit of solidarity of the Cuban people to the highest level, which led to the creation of the Medical Cooperation Brigades, the Henry Reeve Brigades, the academic training programs in Cuba, the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) and, in general, the solidary collaboration that Cuba offers to the world, recalled the head of the Medical Brigade in South Africa, Dr. Jorge Juan Bustillo.
For her part, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party at the embassy, Gisellis Batista, pointed out that Fidel's example, his commitment to the Revolution and the homeland, his sacrifices, should be an example for every Cuban revolutionary and his thought should guide our steps in defense of the homeland, the Revolution and socialism.
