Pretoria, August 13, 2023.- The Cuban Embassy in South Africa, together with members of the collaboration brigades working in the country, paid a heartfelt tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 97th anniversary of his birth.
With touching words, Dr. Juan Delgado Bustillo, Head of the Cuban medical collaboration in South Africa, recalled Fidel's imprint in the history of Cuba, Africa and the world and how his example leads the way to the better world he dreamed of.
Images of the close friendship between Fidel and Mandela were also shared, collected in the documentary dedicated to both leaders and made by Estela Bravo. The tribute ended with a poem in honor of the Commander, written by Lázaro Martínez, head of the hydraulic collaboration.
