Cuban film “Strawberry and Chocolate" on the opening of LAFF in Sydney

Sydney, November 1, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia inaugurated today the 19th edition of the Latin America Film Festival at the Cervantes Institute headquarters in that Australian city.
The film that opened the event was “Strawberry and Chocolate in a tribute to the 30th anniversary of this iconic work of Cuban cinema”. The Cuban diplomat thanked those present, in particular the Cervantes Institute and COALAR for supporting the cultural event, which has become an expression of the bilateral relationship between Latin America and Australia.
A word of welcome was expressed by Coral Martinez, Director of the Institute and Irma Thompson, member of the Board of Directors of COALAR.
